Just had an idea how about players with high initial skills but lower potential than their initial skills, this will result in players like Irfan Phatan , Muhammad Sami and Adil Rashid , they all show immense display when they arrived at the internationally scene but some how faded away after few seasons, and player with very low initial skills but tremendous potential like Imran Khan , TM Dilshan , Saeed Ajmal who struggled even at domestic level but turnout to be beasts after so many years of failure and then you have decent initial skills level player with just slighltly above potential will reflect players who showed promise at the start but couldn't acheive big like Abdul Razzaq , Umar Akmal , Micheal Vaughan etc And finally you have your normal players with normal initial skills and normal potential (just like in current CC games)

This is something that is being investigated, we're currently unsure if it can be done without changing the game save format, if it requires chanigng the save format it will have to wait for 2018, as the save format cannot change during a live release.

Not very encouraging news , may be you can have option to download the regen patch for new games only? That way the people who wants to start a new career will download it

Except then any future patches would then be inapplicable for anyone who hasn't downloaded it, as they'd be forced to change anyway.

To be fair almost every one will gonna welcome this new feature even if it means they have to restart their career rather then wait for 2018 version.

Lets have a poll if there is a doubt.

We wouldn't have two separate player development systems in the game (with say the new version being DLC), it would be a nightmare to control.

Just trying to be as honest as we can about what consequences to the game might be of new features. It might require the save format being changed, it might not.

To be honest , people will want this new development feature now rather than for 2018 version and they don't mind if they have to restart their career in 2017 version. Almost every one cries about CC lacking steady development its gonna please them for sure.

I've closed your thread on this, changing save format during a live release isn't going to happen.
